Bonaire National Marine Park - ACTIVITIES

Even though the waters surrounding Bonaire are protected, users are invited to engage in activities upon or beneath them.  No matter where marine activities take place, one should respect the marine environment and others who use it.  In the Bonaire National Marine Park (BNMP) this respect is integrated with Park use.

Before you engage in any activity in the Bonaire National Marine Park make sure you have paid the Nature Fee, the Park entrance fee, which is valid for one calendar year.  Visitors may consider themselves privileged to utilize a protected area.  Your thoughtful behavior, and your payment of the Nature Fee, helps ensure that you will be able to return repeatedly to the Park and enjoy activities under conditions that remain as wonderful as your first visit.  You can pay the Nature Fee at any dive center, at the activity desk of your hotel, at the BNMP headquarters at Barcadera or to the Rangers of the BNMP.

The following sections provide information about how the Bonaire National Marine Park user needs to behave to protect the marine environment and other users. Information is also provided regarding the appropriate areas where each activity may be enjoyed.
